Managers use industrial accounting, or cost accounting, to calculate the cost of production and control their costs on materials, wages and other production costs. Managers will have difficulty deciding whether to increase production or other decisions and how to make their decisions if they do not have accurate and clear cost statements. It is sometimes thought that the application of industrial accounting and the cost of production is limited to factories and manufacturing industries, although it may be the most popular application in this field, but other institutions also use cost accounting and use cost accounting methods in banks, insurance companies, Wholesale companies, shipping companies, airlines, universities and hospitals for more efficiency.
